Direct alkylheteroarylation of alkenes via photoredox mediated C–H functionalization

Abstract

The direct alkylheteroarylation of alkenes with cyclic and acyclic ethers via distal heteroaryl ipso-migration has been accomplished through the design of a photoredox-mediated C–H functionalization pathway. The use of inexpensive ethers as radical precursors combined with a straightforward method makes this a practical approach.
