Novel titanium-based O3-type NaTi0.5Ni0.5O2 as a cathode material for sodium ion batteries

Abstract

O3-type NaTi0.5Ni0.5O2 is explored as a titanium-based cathode material for sodium ion batteries. It delivers a reversible capacity of 121 mA h g−1 at 0.2 C with smooth charge–discharge curves, and exhibits excellent cycling stability and good rate capability, indicating its superiority as a promising candidate electrode material for sodium ion batteries.
