Enhanced Raman signals from switchable nanoparticle probes

Abstract

We demonstrate here a DNA-based conformationally switchable nanodumbell structure that modulates the interparticle distance between two gold–silver core–shell nanoparticles to induce significant changes in the SERS signal.
