Luminescence on–off switching via reversible interconversion between inter- and intramolecular aurophilic interactions

Abstract

Reversible interconversion between inter- and intramolecular Au⋯Au interactions induces luminescence on/off switching in solid state. For the gold(I) photoluminescence system, intermolecular aurophilic interaction is a more significant factor than intramolecular aurophilic interaction.
