Photoisomerization of an azobenzenegel by pulsed laser irradiation

Abstract

A decalin gel consisting of a 3,3′-bis[{(octylamino)carbonyl}propoxy]azobenzene derivative with H-aggregation showed a photon-density dependent E–Zisomerization, indicating the cooperating isomerization of each module.
