Soluble, reactive and stable – unique aluminosilicate ligands and a heterobimetallic derivative [LAl(SLi)(μ-O)Si(OLi·2thf)(OtBu)2]2

Abstract

The heterobimetallic aluminosilicate [LAl(SLi)(μ-O)Si(OLi·2thf)(OtBu)2]2 was prepared from the LAl(SH)(μ-O)Si(OH)(OtBu)2 (L = [HC{C(Me)N(Ar)}2], Ar = 2,6-di-iPr2C6H3) ligand, which can also be hydrolyzed to LAl(OH·thf)(μ-O)Si(OH)(OtBu)2 – leading to the first aluminosilicate–dihydroxide soluble in organic solvents.
