Unusual chromic and doping behavior of ether substituted polythiophenes

Abstract

Poly[3-(oligoethylene oxide)-4-methylthiophene] is doped by HCl in aqueous solution in the absence of oxygen and undergoes dramatic solvatochromism in waterethanol mixtures.
