Microwave-assisted synthesis of carbon supported Pt nanoparticles for fuel cell applications

Abstract

Spherical and uniform Pt nanoparticles 3.5-4.0 nm supported on carbon were prepared by microwave irradiation and exhibited very high electrocatalytic activity in the room-temperature oxidation of liquid methanol.
