Ylide-like addition complexes in insertion reactions of CH with PH3 and H2S

Abstract

The intermediate addition complexes HC–PH3 and HC–SH2 formed in the CH insertion reactions with PH3 and H2S have large binding energies and short central bond lengths, exhibiting ‘ylidic’ features in their molecular and electronic structures.
