Coordination complexes with infinite lattice structures: solvothermal synthesis and X-ray crystal structures of K2M[NC5H3(CO2)2-2,3]2(M = Mn, Zn)

Abstract

Reaction of MCl2(M = Mn, Zn) with 2 equivalents of K2[NC5H3(CO2)2-2,3] in methanol at 200 °C produces the compounds K2M[NC5H3(CO2)2-2, 3]2 which are found by X-ray crystallography to have structures based on interpenetrating diamondoid networks.
