The reaction of lithium 2,6-di-tert-butylphenoxylate and trifluoro(pentamethylcyclopentadienyl)zirconium in a molar ratio of 2:3 leads to [Li4Zr6F18O2(C5Me5)6] which can be viewed as an interstitial oxide compound of [Zr(C5Me5)F3].
