The acylation of 3-alkyl-indoles
Abstract
Evidence is presented that the acylation of 3-alkyl-indoles to form 2-acyl-3-alkyl-indoles proceeds by initial attack at the 3-position of the indole nucleus, followed by migration of the acyl group.
