New photochemical synthesis of 6-alkylamino-5-amino-1,3-dimethyluracils from 6-azido-1,3-dimethyluracil and amines

Abstract

Irradiation of 6-azido-1,3-dimethyluracil (1) in the presence of primary and secondary alkylamines gave 6-alkylamino-5-amino-1,3-dimethyluracils(2a-g) in which the alkylamino group arises from the amines used.
