O-alkenyl oxime ethers: a new product type from nitrosophenol–olefin reactions

Abstract

The N-(1-ethyl-2-methylprop-2-enyl)quinone imine N-oxides (2), formed by reaction of 2-methylpent-2-ene with p-nitrosophenols, rearrange on heating to O-2-methylpent-2-enyl p-benzoquinone mono-oxime ethers.
