Regulating electronic structure of molybdenum disulfide by chromium incorporation for robust hydrogen evolution reaction

Abstract

We developed a novel uniform chromium-doped molybdenum disulfide (Cr-MoS2) nanosheets toward electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). The Cr doping is beneficial for the charge redistribution of MoS2 and energy barriers optimizaion of HER, which endows Cr-MoS2 with excellent catalytic activity and stability confirmed by in-situ Raman spectrum.
