Palladium-immobilization on KIT-6 mesoporous silica magnetite nanoparticles as stable nanocatalyst for cross-coupling and homo-coupling reactions

Abstract

KIT-6 mesoporous silica-coated magnetite nanoparticles are organized large-pore nanoparticles that supply an environmentally friendly procedure for Ullmann, Suzuki-Miyaura, and Stille reactions. Various techniques, such as FTIR, SEM, TGA, VSM, XRD, BET, and AAS, investigated and identified the synthesized Fe3O4@SiO2@KIT-6@IS-Pd0 catalyst. The magnetite nanoparticles could be easily separated from the reaction mixture simply by magnetic decantation, and they could be reused for several consecutive runs without seeing a significant decrease in catalytic activity.
