Suspending Redox-Active Phenothiazine on Conjugated Polythiophene Cathode for Aluminum Dual-Ion Batteries

Abstract

A conjugated polymer (PPTZT) featuring polythiophene mainchains with redox-active phenothiazine pendants is engineered as an anion-hosting cathode for aluminum dual-ion batteries. The synergistic function of built-in electron-transfer pathway of polythiophene backbones and electrochemically separated phenothiazine pendants endows PPTZT with a high capacity of 210 mAh g−1 and excellent rate performance.
