D2h HZn4S4: an elongated planar tetracoordinate hydrogen star

Abstract

The first elongated HZn4S4 (D2h) star containing a planar tetracoordinate hydrogen (ptH) was predicted. It is a true global minimum and possesses good dynamic stability. The central ptH is stabilized by one 5c–2e half-covalent and half-ionic multicenter bond, rather than σ aromaticity. Encouragingly, it is a superhalogen anion.
