Tracking lipid droplet polarity changes during PDT process with an integrated imaging and therapy probe
Abstract
A triple-functional fluorescent probe (CBFO-LZ) was developed with integrated capabilities for lipid droplet (LD) targeting, polarity monitoring, and ROS generation. It reveals a novel biphasic LD polarity shift—an initial increase followed by a decrease—during self-driven PDT, providing a new insight into LD behavior under oxidative stress and advancing precision PDT strategies.
