Combining aptamers for thiamphenicol and chloramphenicol for detecting both antibiotics
Abstract
A DNA aptamer named TAP-1 for thiamphenicol (TAP) was selected using the capture-systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment (SELEX) technique, exhibiting a dissociation constant (Kd) of 6.4 μM as determined by isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC). When combined with a previously selected chloramphenicol (CAP) aptamer, they collectively can differentiate TAP and CAP.
