Restructuring Surface Lattice Hydroxyls on NiSn(OH) 6 towards Enhanced Photoreduction of CO 2 into CO
Abstract
Here, a kinetically boosted solar-driven CO2 reduction was enabled by restructuring the surface lattice hydroxyls with Co2+ doping into NiSn(OH)6, activating Ni-OH as donors readily to release protons and generate oxygen vacancies due to the lowered reaction barrier, coupled with improved migration of electron-hole pairs and adsorption of CO2.
