Rich nitrogen atoms in an azine covalent organic framework for gas uptake

Abstract

Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are a new type of porous organic material with crystalline and nanoporous structures. Here, an azine-linked COF (Ns-COF) that can accommodate rich nitrogen atoms on the walls has been designed and constructed for gas uptake. Ns-COF exhibited high porosity, crystallinity, and rich N-atoms on the walls, suggesting good capture for carbon dioxide and iodine.
