Electrochemical Fabrication of Nanoporous Gold Electrodes in Deep Eutectic Solvent for Electrochemical Detections

Abstract

Deep eutectic solvent is one of green and sustainable solvents in the chemical process. An electrochemical method was developed to fabricate nanoporous gold electrodes by alloying and dealloying Au-Zn alloy in ZnCl2-urea deep eutectic solvent. The as-prepared active nanoporous gold electrodes facilitate the electrochemical detections of water pollutants with superior sensitivities.
