High performance of nitrogen-modified carbon nanotubes for selective oxidation of allyl alcohol

Abstract

Nitrogen-modified carbon nanotubes (N-CNT) as a novel heterogeneous catalyst exhibit excellent performance in selective oxidation of allyl alcohol (C3H6O). N-CNT may act as a bifunctional catalyst in this reaction, the graphitization of N-CNT affects the activation of C3H6O and the graphitic nitrogen species plays an important role throughout the catalytic process.
