Fluorescent cross-linked supramolecular polymers constructed from a novel self-complementary AABB-type heteromultitopic monomer

Abstract

A novel AABB-type heteromultitopic monomer (APOPV), having a self-complementary perpendicular structure, could solely self-assemble to fluorescent cross-linked supramolecular polymers. Interestingly, the supramolecular gel film shows a sensitive fluorescence change on exposure to acid and base vapor, endowing this system with a potential application in gas detection.
