Highly efficient synthesis of polyfluorinated dendrons suitable for click chemistry

Abstract

A highly efficient convergent synthesis of C2v-symmetric dendrons is presented. The generation build-up was achieved by copper(I)-catalyzed azide–alkyne cycloadditions. The resulting G2-dendron consists of 72 magnetically equivalent fluorine atoms and displays a single sharp resonance in its 19F NMR spectrum.
