Heteroepitaxial growth of surface mounted metal–organic framework thin films with hybrid adsorption functionality

Abstract

Metal–organic framework thin film heterostructures of type [Cu3btc2] on top of [Cu2ndc2dabco] were fabricated on quartz crystal microbalance substrates using a step-by-step growth approach and the resulting hybrid adsorption properties for volatile organic compounds were studied.
