Visible light excitable ON fluorescence and naked eye detection of Cu2+via hydrolysis of rhodamine–thiophene conjugate: human breast cancer cell (MCF7) imaging studies

Abstract

Thiophene appended rhodaminehydrazone derivative, RDHDTCA allows selective colorimetric and fluorescence recognition of Cu2+ as low as 2.4 × 10−8 M. RDHDTCA is capable to detect intracellular Cu2+ in human breast cancer cells, MCF7 under fluorescence microscope.
