Rigid bidentate ligands focus the size of gold nanoparticles

Abstract

Multidentate organic ligand molecules have potentials not only to passivate the inorganic nanoparticles (NPs) but also to tune their structures and functions. Here, we designed novel rigid bidentate ligands to demonstrate their size focusing effect on the gold NPs (AuNPs).
