Water dispersible Eu3+-doped NaGd(SO4)2·H2O nanorods for selective Fe3+ sensing applications

Author affiliations

Abstract

Water dispersible Eu3+-doped NaGd(SO4)2·H2O nanorods have been prepared for the first time using a microwave method. The optimum concentration of Eu3+ was found to be 8 mol% which is higher compared to other matrices. These nanorods were found to be selective as well as reversible for the sensing of Fe3+ ions.
