Organometallic aspects of transition-metal catalysed regioselective C–H bond functionalisation of arenes and heteroarenes

Abstract

Transition-metal catalysed C–H bond functionalisation of arenes and heteroarenes has undergone a tremendous amount of development in the last decade with several reported protocols exhibiting excellent regioselectivity. In this review we intend to emphasise the organometallic aspect of C–H bond functionalisation involving the formation of a metal–carbon bond.
