A {Cr2Dy4} compressed octahedron: the first sulfate-based single-molecule magnet

Abstract

A unique compressed octahedral {CrIII2DyIII4} aggregate is the first sulfate-based single-molecule magnet (SMM) with Ueff/kB = 39.7 K and τ0 = 2.9 × 10−9 s. Its synthesis opens a new avenue to prepare 3d–4f coordination clusters.
