Novel, high “turn-on” Hg²⁺ and O₂⁻ fluorescence behaviour ( [similar] 25-fold) with probes bearing [S_thiN_py] and [S_thiN_pyN_py] binding receptors, joined by oxidizable sulphides, may involve S-bound transient ROS species; such optical O₂⁻ behaviour operates moderately in neuroblastoma.
