This communication describes the synthesis of a nanocomposite Ni@ZrO2catalyst with enhanced metal–support interaction by introducing metal nanoparticles into the framework of the oxide support. The catalyst shows high catalytic activity and stability for hydrogen production viasteam reforming of ethanol.
