New coordination complexes of the neutral tripodal tetra-amine Me₆TREN with tBu₃Ga or tBu₂Zn have been synthesised and studied with their molecular structures revealing, for the first time, coordination to metal centres via an η¹ or η² mode, adding to previously reported η³ and η⁴ ligated examples.
