The building blocks {Co₆PW₉} converging lacunary polyoxometalates and high-nuclear {Co₆} clusters are further linked by semi-rigid bis(triazole) ligands to construct a 2D → 3D framework under hydrothermal conditions, [Co₆(μ₃-OH)₃(H₂O)₉L(PW₉O₃₄)] (1) (L = 4,4′-bis(1,2,4-triazol-1-ylmethyl)biphenyl).
