Fabrication of O (dye)-terminated anatase TiO2nanosheets for dye sensitized solar cells

Abstract

We report a novel method, namely an O (dye)-terminated process, to fabricate stable anatase TiO2 nanosheets with exposed {100} facets for dye sensitized solar cells. Their light to electricity conversion efficiency could be improved to 7.0% in the absence of a scattering layer, owing to the unique 2D structure with low-energy facets, which is superior to the 5.1% of the devices with P-25 TiO2 films.
