The generation of a novel polyoxometalate-based 3D framework following picolinate-chelation of tungsten and potassium centres

Abstract

A new polyoxometalate-based 3D framework K5Na[K2{Dy(H2O)3}2{As2W19O68}{WO2(pic)}2] (1) (pic = 2-picolinate), composed of picolinate-functionalised dysprosium-containing tungstoarsenates and distorted potassium–picolinate cubane units, has been synthesised from the polyoxometalate precursor [As2W19O67(H2O)]14.
