Controlled growth of silver nanoparticle arrays guided by a self-assembled polymerpeptide conjugate

Abstract

Controlled formation of silver nanoparticle arrays with high particle density and short interparticle distances was achieved by using supramolecular nanotapes of PEOoligopeptide conjugates as templates to direct the nucleation and growth of silver nanoparticles either from silver salt solutions followed by photoreduction, or from preformed fluorescent silver nanoclusters.
