Stepwise and hysteretic sorption of N2, O2, CO2, and H2 gases in a porous metal–organic framework [Zn2(BPnDC)2(bpy)]

Abstract

A doubly interpenetrated 3D porous metal–organic framework (SNU-9) exhibits high gas uptake capacities for N2, O2, CO2, and H2 gases, with uncommon stepwise adsorption and hysteretic desorption behaviors, while not adsorbing CH4 gas.
