Enhanced photolabelling of luminescent EuIII centres with a chelating antenna in a micellar nanodomain

Abstract

Photoliberation of a caged, chelating naphthalene antenna greatly enhances the luminescence of a EuIII-cyclen complex due to metal-bound water displacement and sensitization by the antenna, giving a lanthanide-labelling strategy in different media, being optimal in the presence of a TMADS surfactant.
