Bird-like spiro-metallacyclic complexes based on a bent oxadiazole bridging ligand

Abstract

The coordination chemistry of a new symmetric organic ligand 2,5-bis(3-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-ylmethyl)phenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole (L2) with inorganic M(II) (M = Cd, Co, Cu and Mn) salts has been investigated. Eight new bird-like spiro-metallocyclic complexes (1–8) were synthesized. In addition, the luminescent properties of 1–8 and the electrical conductivity of 6 were investigated primarily.
