Reaction of the cyclic {P₈W₄₈} polyoxotungstate host with sodium molybdate in solution in the presence of a reducing agent leads to the formation and stabilization of unprecedented neutral {Mo^V₄O₁₀(H₂O)₃} aggregates with handle function, thereby proving the potential of the present host for performing future interesting studies related to mixed-valence type chemistry under confined conditions.
