Reversible RS–NO bond cleavage and formation at copper(I) thiolates

Abstract

Two coordinate copper(I) thiolates IPrCu-SR undergo rapid, reversible transnitrosation with S-nitrosothiols RSNOs without catalyzing the loss of NOgas from these biological carriers of NO.
