5-Pyrimidyl phosphonic acid as a building block for the synthesis of coordination polymers

Abstract

Using a specifically designed functionalized organophosphonic acid, 5-pyrimidyl phosphonic acid (pyrimidyl = C4H4N2), the synthesis and characterization of six coordination polymers, including a two-dimensional bimetallic, Cu/Ag, polymer are reported.
