Concentric Archimedean polyhedra: MnIII12MnII9 aggregates linked into a cubic network

Abstract

A MnIII12MnII9 aggregate has a structure built up of concentric polyhedra with these units linked into a cubic network to give a remarkably pleasing structure isotypic with iron pyrites.
