A concise organocatalytic and enantioselective synthesis of isotetronic acids

Abstract

A concise enantioselective route to isotetronic acids using an organocatalyzed aldol reaction between α-oxocarboxylic acids and aldehydes has been developed, leading to the titled compounds in reasonable yields and good enantioselectivities.
