Transition metals in organic synthesis: cross-coupling and C–H activation processes

Author affiliations

Abstract

The number of reports of transition metal mediated cross-coupling reactions continues to expand, and 2005 represents an exciting and productive year for this area. This year has also seen a rapid increase in the number of reports detailing the use of C–H activation in synthesis (direct functionalisation of C–H bonds).
