Facile synthesis of chromeno[4,3-b]quinolin-6-ones from unexpected reactions of aryl isocyanides with 4-chloro-2-oxo-2H-chromene-3-carbaldehyde

Abstract

An unexpected reaction of aryl isocyanides with 4-chloro-2-oxo-2H-chromene-3-carbaldehyde leads to chromeno[4,3-b]quinolin-6-ones in good yields.
