Self-assembled organic tubular host for van der Waals guest inclusion

Abstract

The square channels of 2,4,6-tris(2-chloro-3-pyridinoxy)-1,3,5-triazine (∼4 Å) sustained by C–H⋯N and Cl⋯Cl/Cl⋯N interactions tightly encapsulate small molecules in an aromatic enclosure, show reversible guest exchange, and the voids are stable up to 50% evacuation.
